Welcome to LymphConnect

After many months of planning and countless hours of hard work, we’re thrilled to be able to share LymphConnect with you!

This whole project started from these three questions:

  1. What is it that lymphoedema patients, family members and healthcare professionals need to make life with lymphoedema more manageable?
  2. How can we help support those needs?
  3. What can we do to further support raising awareness about lymphedema?

Our main goal is to build an online lymphoedema community where information can be shared to inspire and support both patients and healthcare professionals.

Before you login to LymphConnect, you will find lots of information about lymphoedema, therapy solutions and inspiration for living your life to the fullest. You can listen to stories from other patients and learn more in the Ask Elvy section. Ask Elvy has a list of frequently asked questions and if you can’t find the answer that you need, simply email AskElvy@lymphconnect.co.uk and with clinical experts on hand, we’ll direct you to the information you need or post a new answer.

The blog area of LymphConnect is another way for us to share information with you that you will hopefully find supportive and interesting. Here you can find tips for everyday life with lymphoedema and suggestions on a range of topics from fashion to keeping active and food to travel tips as well as treatment information.

Here are some samples of things we’d love to post with your help:

  • Your personal perspective about living with lymphedema
  • Tips, tricks and suggestions you’ve picked up as you navigated your way through managing your condition or from those treating patients with lymphedema
  • Latest research or clinical evidence

If you’d like to write a guest blog post* for us, please email your idea or article to support@lymphconnect.co.uk and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Please include photographs that relate to your topic and a photograph of yourself with a short background.

Once you log in, you’ll be able to communicate with other patients, healthcare professionals and the LymphConnect support team. You can ‘add friends’ and communicate via private email or communicate with the LymphConnect community through the open forum. If you have a suggestion for a new topic in the forum, we’d love to hear from you. Simply email support@lymphconnect.co.uk. You can update your profile with your personal preferences and information at any time. Make sure you are signed up to the LymphConnect enewsletter so we can share with you new tools and the latest information!

Thank you once again for joining the LymphConnect community.

Your LymphConnect Support Team
