How do I ... in LymphConnect®?

Knowing as much as you can about lymphoedema allows you to play an active part in your treatment. LymphConnect® provides information about lymphoedema, types, causes, treatment and much more! Many people have already registered for LymphConnect® and are starting to enjoy the benefits of this online lymphoedema community. We have received questions regarding ‘How do I do this…?’ and thought it might be helpful to share these top tips!

How do I register?

Follow these steps for registration:

  • Click ‘Register as a Patient or Healthcare Professional’
  • Create a username (this will be seen by other users)
  • Enter your email address
  • Review the consent information
  • Click ‘Register’
  • An email with a registration link will be sent to the email address provided
  • Click on the link within the email to complete the registration process

Important! You must click on the link to complete your registration otherwise your registration is not complete. If you cannot find the email, check your ‘junk’ or ‘spam’.

How do I communicate with others?

  • Login to LymphConnect®
  • Click on ‘Connections’ from the dashboard area
  • Click ‘Add Friend’
  • Type three letters of the person’s registered user name (or the name you think they might have chosen). Note: it does not have to be the first three letters
  • Click ‘Add to Friends’
  • Look for another friend or click ‘close’ if you have finished adding friends
  • Your friends list will refresh, and you will see your friend listed
    Your friend will also have been sent an automated email stating that you have added them as a friend

How do I invite others to join LymphConnect®?

  • Login to LymphConnect®
  • Click on ‘Connections’ from the dashboard area
  • Click ‘Invite’
  • Type in the email address of the person you want to ask to join LymphConnect®
  • The email has already been created for you, but you can add your own text too if you prefer
  • Click ‘Invite’ and the email will be sent to the email address
  • The invitee just needs to then click on the link to register – it’s that easy!

Tip! If invitee hasn’t received the email, ask them to check their ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ folder

Top tip!

Make it easier for others to recognise you. Update your profile image by clicking on the ‘avatar’ picture in ‘My Profile’. You can upload your own photograph by selecting ‘browse’. Once you have saved your avatar, your profile image will be updated. You can update your profile with your personal preferences and information at any time.
